Maine HR Convention 2011

The next Maine HR Convention is called "In an HR Minute!" Please join the 16th annual convention next May 10-13! The last convention drew a capacity crowd of 738 participants, and while it's a little early to pack your bags for the Samoset - it's not too early to mark your calendars and budget for the event.

It requires an amazing depth of knowledge to be a human resource professional these days. The Maine HR Convention offers four days of extraordinary courses and keynotes to help you prepare for all those HR minutes that come your way… every day! Check back soon for additional information. For now, if you would like to reminisce about the fabulous 2010 event, please visit the Maine HR Convention Web site and imagine what would happen “If HR Ruled the World!”

Maine Employer's Handbook

Author Lawrence C. Winger has spent the past 20 years crafting what many call “The HR Bible for Maine.” The handbook now is in a 5th Edition and also is available in a Windows-friendly computer version. It traces federal and state legal developments that affect the law of the Maine workplace. If you want information on the entire spectrum of employment law and HR in Maine – from hiring to firing and everything in between – this book is the source for you!
