Dare to Improv(e): An HR Curtain Call

Workshop 4 | Tuesday, May 9 | 2:30 - 3:45

A successful company has creative and agile employees, but how does a company foster this agility and creativity? Hint: It starts with you. In this highly interactive workshop, Amy Roeder, the Director of Education for the Penobscot Theatre Company in Bangor, will explore how the fundamental principles of improvisation can be implemented in the workplace, helping to spur not only productivity but communication, problem solving, and team dynamics. What’s the difference between listening to understand and listening to reply? How about the difference between having a difficult conversation and having a conversation about a difficult problem? How do we exit our silos and become true collaborators? This workshop teaches participants to become the stars of their workplaces by using the powerful tools of improvisation to build a culture of innovation and collaboration. Limited to 30 participants.

This session will be repeated on Thursday afternoon due to the limited capacity for this workshop.
