The 18th Annual Comp Summit!
Maine’s only statewide workers’ compensation conference enters its eighteenth year with A NEW BEGINNING, both in terms of expanded educational content and a move to the spectacular Point Lookout Resort in Northport, Maine. Our goals remain constant - to keep you up to date on comp system developments and best practices, and to encourage practical, creative solutions to the challenges you face on the job every day. From there, the excitement begins, as we start a new day at the Point Lookout Resort.
EDUCATION! Listen to keynotes and perspectives from the national stage in addition to the most recent information on the ground in Maine. A five-track learning system focuses on the specific needs of the diverse workers’ compensation audience: 1) legal issues and governance; 2) case management and adjusters; 3) occupational health, medicine, and wellness; 4) human resources and Maine employers; and 5) employees and injured workers. As in past years, we will seek continuing education and certification credit for: Maine attorneys; CCM, CRC, CDMS; New Hampshire adjusters; and HRCI (human resources).
POINT LOOKOUT is our new destination! Please join us at this amazing meeting venue hovering over Penobscot Bay. Look for “state of the art” meeting facilities and accommodations that will serve as your personal retreat. In addition to the 106 beautiful on-site cottages – the towns of Camden, Belfast, and Rockport are within a 15-minute radius. They offer a wonderful range of overnight accommodation options and some of the best dining experiences in Maine.
